Our Mission
Empowered Education A.R.T Initiative, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and Art, Reading & Technology program for underprivileged kids around the world who deserve a quality education. With the skills they learn in our program, kids are better prepared to reach their full potential and create a brighter future for themselves.
Art is a great way for kids to express themselves, which is especially helpful for our students, who have faced poverty, homelessness, and becoming refugees. In addition to being a great medium of therapy and self-expression, art has been shown to be very important to a child’s development and academic performance. We strive to create a well-rounded education for each of our students by exposing them to different artistic skills.
In addition to learning traditional art skills, including drawing and painting, our students also get the chance to learn computer graphics. This is both fun for our students and gives them more opportunities for their futures, because technological and computer skills are in high demand in the current workforce.
Finally, we help our students with their reading skills. Reading is vital to a child’s development and can also bring great joy when you find the right story to unlock the imagination. We also read to our students to help them with their English skills, which can be important for their future in both their education and the workforce, as our students come from diverse backgrounds and countries. Empowered Education has taught to underprivileged girls in Pakistan, refugees who have migrated to the United States, and unhoused youth.
